Quick update

Okay... so I'm terrible at this whole blogging thing. Since I missed so much time and so many experiences, let's try to play catch-up, shall we? Bear with me, this may take a while.

First off, we have Addison approx. 1 year ago, smearing Desitin all over his room. This was quite common at the time. He would do this with practically anything he could get his hands on (ie. lotion, soap, perfume, chocolate syrup, butter, even his own poop when nothing else was available, etc.) As you can imagine, we have gone through a ton of carpet cleaner. I couldn't be happier that we have since moved on from this phase.

Moving on, here I am just a few hours before our next "little angel"arrives. Coincidentally, Helena was born on June 6th... that's 06/06/06. It doesn't help that my grandfather is incredibly superstitious. On top of that, my dad calls her devil child though she really is a sweet baby for the most part. Thanks Dad.

Can you see the excitement on my face?

The next thing you know.........

............. .......... ...... she pops out!
(According to Addison, she came out of my belly button)

<---- literally, just moments after birth!

Okay, not really. She was actually purpley and gross just like any other baby.

Addison and Helena love spending time with their cousins, Alexandra and Isabel.

Can you feel the love?

Here we have Addison, pregnant... and.... hmm.. looks kind of tipsy.

I think it was one of those toy hard hats he shoved under his shirt. Personally, I think it's a pretty accurate example of what a 2 yr. old, with child, might look like.

Sorry for all the blurry pictures.

Daddy's home!!!

Helena is such a Daddy's girl. She practically clings to him from the moment he walks in the door.

I am so grateful that Addison is so close in age with Alexandra and Isabel. I was a little worried that Helena wouldn't have anyone to play with.

Lucky for us, Patrick's sister, Trisha, and her husband Bryan were expecting their first child, a little girl, in November of 2006.

Next up was our week at the fantastic beach house down at the Outer Banks, NC. For the past 2 years, we have loaded up and treked down to the beach with Patrick's side of the family, including my in-laws, Pat & Jon, my sis & bro in-laws, Trish & Bryan, and even Patrick's Aunt and Uncle come stay for a couple days. Lucky for us, Patrick's parents have found the most amazing house. It is 3 stories, I believe 6 bedrooms, each w/ their own bathrooms, hottub, pool, pool table, tiki bar, oh yeah, and an elevator. I'm so excited to go again this September!

Since my wonderful sister, Sarah, is so clever and creative, we decided to have a combination birthday party for Alexandra's 4th and Addison's 3rd birthdays. We had such a great time and hope everyone that was able to make it did too. We rented a bounce house, had a hayride, a pumpkin patch, pinata, and even a cotton candy machine (my favorite part!) It was a blast!

Can anyone guess what Helena was for Halloween??

Back off ladies, he's all mine! ;)

What a Stub Muffin, eh?

I know what you're thinking. You only wish you were so lucky.

I'm just joking of course... I love my husband very much, no matter what kind of annoying face he is making :)

Sarah and I, hard at work

Once again, I know what you're thinking (it's a gift)....
Michael and Patrick are the luckiest guys in the world. Good thing we're always around to remind them.

Well, we're just going to skip right to Easter of this year.

We spent Saturday, the day before Easter, with my side of the family. Here are the kiddies in their new spiffy Easter outfits! (courtesy of Yia yia)

I absolutely love having my son, Addison, but boy is it fun to dress up a little girl!

Here are my sweet, well-behaved little darlings at Pitti Pat's and Papa's on Easter Sunday!

:)

And of course, Patrick and Helena.

Am I lucky or what?

Until next time,
